What are the origins of the inflatable toy?
The inflatable toy was first patented on 15th December 1959 by prolific American inventor Jerome Lemelson (I wonder what his kids got for Christmas that year?!) Aside from inflatable toys Mr Lemelson’s brilliant mind also produced toys with propellers, toys that run on tracks, target games, dolls and munch more. Therefore all of us at Novelty Toy Shop are really pleased he came along or we would all be out of a job!
